I have two very important announcements to make.
First, we have begun collecting items for our Adopt-a-family project. Participation is optional. The five classes in our section of the building will be collecting gift items for a family of six. Along with bringing in food and toiletries, our class has been given the specific assignment of gathering presents for the three year-old boy. Details of the little boy's needs and wants are listed on the back of this handout. Please discuss with your child what you are able to share with this family.
Second, I am looking for a parent who will plan and organize volunteers for the winter party. We will be celebrating on Thursday, December 20th from 10:50-11:35 prior to the beginning of winter break. This job does not require you to be present at the party as we have a number of parents that are able to help that day. The typical party has food, one craft, and one game. The craft and game should be limited to ten minutes each. I am also open to any creative ideas. Please let me know if you are interested as soon as possible.
